Tomb Raider I–III Remastered – Mobile – UX/UI

No AI tools were used during the project.

This project focused on adapting the classic gameplay of Tomb Raider I–III Remastered for mobile platforms.

The original games were designed for PC and console controllers, which required rethinking both the user experience and the interface for touch screens.

As a UX/UI Designer, my goal was to design a mobile interface and control system that preserves the authentic gameplay while making interactions intuitive, readable, and comfortable on mobile devices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adapt the HUD for mobile, ensuring readability and touch ergonomics
  • Create and maintain UI icons for HUD, menus, and platforms
  • Design tutorial (FTUE) flows for onboarding
  • Write and refine tooltips and in-game instructions
  • Improve menus and navigation flows
  • Conduct UX research and competitor analysis
  • Enhance controls and interactions for mobile
  • Build and maintain UI components using an 8px grid system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on UI/UX iterations
  • Identify and document UX issues during testing

In total, I created 277 icons across Tomb Raider I–III. These icons cover various gameplay elements including actions, items, controls, and interface indicators. While designing them, I focused on maintaining strong readability on small mobile screens and visual consistency with the overall UI style of the game. Check all icons
