Next-Level Engagement: Designing the GTA 6 Mobile App Ecosystem

Hypothesis

Integrating a mobile application with GTA 6, allowing players to interact with in-game phone functionalities, such as calls, messages, and social media, will significantly enhance player immersion and engagement.

As you know, in GTA 4 and 5, the main characters had mobile phones. When we played the game, it would come to the main character’s mobile phone through missions, calls and sms. We also accepted missions by answering incoming calls or text messages.

2 days ago, Rockstar released the trailer of GTA 6, which millions of people have been waiting for after 10 years. The game looked so incredible and what caught the attention of many in the game was that the game also featured social media similar to tiktok. In this era of rapid development of artificial intelligence, I will share with you the storms that are happening inside my brain to make the game even more interesting and incredible.

Integration of GTA VI into real life

I think that creating a mobile application for GTA 6 and running this mobile application in sync with GTA 6 can be an innovative and interesting step by combining the game world with real life. I present to you the GTA 6 mobile application that I designed in Figma as a concept.

When we enter this application, we will be greeted by the operating system of the mobile phone that we will use in the game. As a result, we will be able to control text messages, calls and tiktok-like applications in GTA 6 through the GTA 6 mobile application.

Imagine that when we play GTA 6, with the help of the GTA 6 mobile application, a call or sms (message) comes to your phone, and you answer this call or sms from within the application, not from within the game, as in GTA 4 and 5.

And most importantly, we will all be able to watch the reels filmed by the NPCs, just like we watch the reels before going to sleep. It is possible that some NPC will open live (we saw this from the trailer) to record any event in the middle of the street. I think that live videos posted by NPCs on social media can be used as a kind of side mission.
